Planting Instructions (From a 3.5" Pot into the Ground)
1. Choose the Location
- Select a sunny location with excellent drainage.
- Plant where shrubs will receive at least 6–8 hours of sunlight daily.
2. Prepare the Soil
- Blueberries require acidic soil with a pH of approximately 4.5–5.5.
- Amend soil with peat moss, pine bark, or sulfur if needed.
3. Dig the Hole
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the 3.5" pot and slightly shallower than the root ball.
4. Remove from Pot
- Gently remove the plant and loosen roots carefully.
5. Plant
- Position the plant slightly higher than surrounding soil level.
- Backfill with amended acidic soil and firm gently.
6. Water
- Water thoroughly after planting.
- Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
7. Mulch
- Apply pine bark, pine needles, or acidic mulch around the base to conserve moisture and maintain soil acidity.
8. Spacing
- Space plants 4–6 feet apart for airflow and mature growth.
