Planting Instructions (From a 3.5" Pot into the Ground)
1. Choose the Location
- Select a sunny location with excellent drainage.
- Ideal for rock gardens, slopes, borders, pathways, green roofs, and xeriscapes.
2. Prepare the Soil
- Loosen soil 6–8 inches deep.
- Add sand, gravel, or small stones if needed to improve drainage.
3. Dig the Hole
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the 3.5" pot and equal depth.
4. Remove from Pot
- Carefully remove the plant and gently loosen any circling roots.
5. Plant
- Position the root ball level with the surrounding soil surface.
- Backfill with well-drained soil and firm gently.
6. Water Thoroughly
- Water after planting to settle the soil around the roots.
- Water regularly during establishment, then reduce frequency.
7. Spacing
- Space plants 12–18 inches apart for quick groundcover coverage.
Seasonal Care & Maintenance
- Requires minimal maintenance once established.
- Water sparingly after plants are established.
- Trim back any unwanted spread in spring if needed.
- Avoid overly wet soils, especially during winter months.
- Foliage often develops attractive orange and bronze hues during fall and winter.
