Planting Instructions (From a 3.5" Pot into a Pot)
1. Select a Container
- Choose a container 1–2 inches larger than the current 3.5" nursery pot.
- Ensure the container has drainage holes.
2. Prepare the Potting Mix
- Use a high-quality, well-draining indoor potting mix.
- A blend containing peat moss, coco coir, and perlite works well.
3. Fill the Container
- Add enough potting mix so the plant will sit at the same depth it was growing in its nursery pot.
4. Remove the Plant
- Carefully remove the plant from the 3.5" pot.
- Gently loosen any circling roots.
5. Plant
- Place the root ball in the center of the new container.
- Fill around the roots with fresh potting mix and firm gently.
6. Water Thoroughly
- Water until excess moisture drains from the bottom.
- Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings.
7. Placement
- Place in bright indirect light indoors or a shaded patio location outdoors.
- Avoid direct afternoon sun.
Container Care & Maintenance
- Water regularly to maintain lightly moist soil.
- Increase humidity indoors by misting occasionally or placing near a humidifier.
- Fertilize monthly during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer.
- Trim yellow or damaged stems as needed.
- Repot every 2–3 years when roots become crowded.
