Lyme Blue Dune Grass is a bold, architectural ornamental grass prized for its striking steel-blue foliage and rugged adaptability. Forming upright, spreading clumps of stiff, sword-like leaves, it creates a dramatic contrast in garden beds, borders, and coastal landscapes. Originally native to sandy coastal dunes, this grass thrives in tough conditions where many plants struggle. Its cool-toned color pairs beautifully with flowering perennials, and its ability to tolerate wind, salt, and poor soils makes it an excellent choice for low-maintenance and xeriscape plantings.

    • Select a full sun location for best color and compact growth.
    • Ideal for borders, slopes, coastal plantings, or erosion control.

    2. Prepare the Soil

    • Loosen soil 8–10 inches deep.
    • Prefers well-drained soil; thrives even in sandy or poor soils.
    • Avoid overly rich or wet soils.

    • Dig a hole twice as wide as the 4" pot and about the same depth.

    4. Remove from Pot

    • Gently remove the plant and loosen any tightly bound roots.

    5. Plant

    • Place the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface.
    • Backfill and firm soil gently.

    6. Water

    • Water thoroughly after planting.
    • Water regularly during establishment, then reduce frequency.

    7. Spacing

    • Space plants 24–36 inches apart to allow for spreading.
