      4. Planting: Remove plant from pot, gently loosen roots, and place so the crown is level with the soil surface.

      5. Backfill: Refill with soil, firm gently, and water well.

      6. Spacing: Space plants 18–24 inches apart to allow good air circulation, which reduces mildew.

      7. Care: Mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Water regularly, especially in dry spells.
