Devon Green Hosta is a classic shade-loving perennial, admired for its lush, glossy leaves and compact growth habit. Planting Instructions (from a 3.5" pot):
- Site Selection: Choose a location with partial to full shade. Morning sun or dappled light is ideal.
- Soil Preparation: Amend soil with compost or organic matter to improve drainage and nutrient content.
- Planting Depth: Dig a hole twice the width of the pot and the same depth as the root ball.
- Spacing: Space plants about 18-24 inches apart to allow for mature growth.
- Planting: Gently remove the Hosta from the pot, loosen the roots if root-bound, and place it in the hole. Backfill with soil and press down lightly.
- Watering: Water thoroughly after planting. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged as the plant establishes.
- Mulching: Apply a 2-inch layer of mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
