      5. Mist soil to keep evenly moist during germination

      6. Transplant into individual pots when seedlings have 2–3 sets of true leaves

      7. Harden off and plant outdoors in well-drained, sandy or gravelly soil after frost danger passes

      8. Space plants 18–24 inches apart

      9. Water deeply but infrequently; avoid overwatering

      10. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage rebloom
